The leather casing is also another trademark of its predecessor, the Blackberry Bold. The basic design of the Blackberry Bold 9700 will in fact, remain the same as that of the Blackberry Bold. There will a few changes however. The major one includes the screen resolution which will increase from the earlier 480 by 397000 pixels to 480 by 360 pixels. The size of the Blackberry Bold 9700 is almost the same as that of its predecessor.
The Blackberry Bold 9700 also has a flash memory of 256 MB which is another change from the previous 197008 MB which was native.
Overall, the Blackberry Bold 9700 is a great improvement on the earlier model and is tentatively set to release in the winters of 2009

Had it for a week now. Already froze on me once. Bbm already requires an update even though its the latest version. The browser is most disappointing. Bb should be embarrassed to release it with that browser, its slow, unintuitive, impractical and just bad. I see no reason to get this bb if the one you already have works fine or especially if you have something with better internet, like the iphone or just about any Sony, Nokia or Samsung phone with wifi.
This is a great phone but would be better if you have the UMA feature capability
BB phones are the best for managing emails on the go, yes it does serve as a Multimedia device as well but then we have to be clear that its a very strong OS for email support. Yes BB has a lot of work to do in many areas like their lethargic browser!! Please don’t compare this with Nokia E72 which is a champion phone can do everything kind of champion...
Bold 9000 was a disaster in terms of Hardware and bugs, let’s hope this one lives up to its promise
